The environment wing of DMK will work towards achieving sustainable development by bringing the environment conservation and economic development together hand in hand.
The environment wing will stand with the rights of the people whenever the Centre and state government policies go against sustainable development.
Mission
The environment wing will focus on bringinga sustainable policy narrative to the party and thereby influencing the state policy in long run. The policy will carry the interdisciplinary approach to conservation and management of environmental resources, social justice and social equity by the provision of natural resources for all sections of people in the state for a healthy standard of living.
The environment Wing will struggle to bring awareness and understanding of the importance of environmental conservation to the young generation.
The environment wing will ensure the proper stakeholder participation and public hearing process during a development project takes place to ensure the development project works towards human.

Karthikeya Sivasenapathy IS THE MANAGING TRUSTEE OF SENAAPATHY KANGAYAM CATTLE RESEARCH FOUNDATION AND INTHINAI. He has been working on creating awareness and sustainability of the livestock based farming system.He has been organizing a cattle show for Kangayam cattle from 2010. There has been a movement towards Native cattle, Tamilnadu Livestock and Zero budget / Zero input farming. The movement of the youth towards Kangayam cattle can be single-handedly attributed to him. From 2009 he has addressed 1000s of colleges, schools, company employees, clubs and meetings to raise awareness traveling at his own cost. Nammalvar ayya’s one of the favorite protege and who has stayed with him at his home multiple times. He has organized a UNCBD international consultation in SKCRF and was invited by UNCBD for the CoP to Nagoya, Japan where he spoke on the conservation of biodiversity being mentioned in Thirukural 2000 years back. The international intergovernmental audience was stunned by the ancient knowledge of Tamils due to the speech. The mayor of Toronto, UNEP director hosted a meet in honor of Tamil Literary in Nagoya and felicitated him.
